Usually found to be an intoxicant and a mild hallucinogenic. Has a nice taste, perfect to relax. Can be smoked and / or made as tea.
EFFECTS :
Euphoria, sedation and a soporific action (sleep inducing).
Autonomic effects: anticonvulsive, increased body temperature and sweating.
DURATION :
The effects usually last a few hours when an infusion is taken, but shorter time when smoked.
DOSAGE AND PREPARATION
An infusion can be prepared from the foliage, but the plant material may also be smoked. Catmint (catnip) is active in doses between 5-30 grams. 4, 5 Catmint is sometimes taken in combination with damiana (Turnera diffusa); a mild euphoric tea is prepared by combining both herbs in 50%/50% ratio and in doses of a few grams. 5 Let the tea draw for 5 minutes.
